San Esteban winery is the first cooperative winery from the DOCa. Rioja (short of Qualified Denomination of Origin Rioja), founded in 1953 by 16 members.
Currently it is made up of 350 members that cultivate more than 500 hectares.
This winery is in the Region of the Valleys of Leza and Jubera (La Rioja), with its own vineyards on three different heights in the valley. This particularity gives our wines a great diversity.
Our objective is to achieve the dream of producing quality wines. Therefore, our range is the reflection of the lifestyle of our winery: we belong to the DOCa Rioja and we can offer a wide variety of wines.
Young fresh wines with many fruit flavors; red and white full-bodied red and white wines with the character provided by the maturation in barrels (some with very good scores by Tim Atkin). But we also produce wines that represent “the rebellion” of our desire to innovate and be different, like the wines of the Kairos range that do not follow the rules established by DOCa Rioja.
