Our winery is in a privileged area of La Rioja: Murillo de Río Leza, 14 kilometers from the capital Logroño.
It is a municipality of 1850 inhabitants located at the confluence of the rivers Jubera and Leza, the latter tributary of the Ebro by its right bank. Located at 407 meters altitude.
Placed in the portal that opens the way to three areas of great interest in La Rioja: upstream of the Leza we reach the Camero Nuevo, towards Ventas Blancas we access “Las Alpujarras Riojanas” (Santa Cecilia or Bucesta) and, finally, Valle de Ocón.
It is interesting to walk through the streets of the town to understand its evolution and make a “must” visit to its church dedicated to San Esteban, declared since 1979 an artistic historic site.
Located at the confluence of the rivers Jubera and Leza, our vineyards are planted on clay-ferrous soils, at an altitude 407 – 420 meters.
Own vineyards with an extension of about 750 hectares, which give us better wines, with a careful advice from our technical team in the vineyards, to control the entire annual cycle of the vineyard, from pruning to the treatments to be performed.
The experience and enthusiasm of our winegrowers, with the advice of our technicians do the rest, obtaining unbeatable results from our best terroirs.
The grapes enter the winery at their optimum point of maturity and with a total oenological control, being the basis to produce our wines.
Viura: main white variety, dates from 1900 the oldest vineyard with which our winery makes its exclusive white wines.
Tempranillo: predominant red grapes (90%), dating from 1956. It is the queen variety of La Rioja, essential to produce fresh and aromatic young wines, unique for our deep and complex wines.
Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano: these red grapes, native varieties, make up the remaining 10%, adding color, elegance and originality to the Tempranillo and resulting with its blend a unique wine in the nose and mouth.
